
In 1976, Dr. Mortenson moved to Greensboro and was the original founding partner of The Sports Medicine & Orthopaedic Center. He served as a chief of orthopaedics at Humana Hospital which subsequently became Women’s Hospital. He has also held a teaching position at Bowman Gray Medical School as a clinical professor of orthopaedic surgery. Dr. Mortenson has had more than 25 years of orthopaedic practice experience and has performed thousands of surgical procedures. His specialty practice keeps him current with the latest surgical techniques and advances in sports medicine and joint replacement surgery.
